Amazing quality for the priceReviewed by Tim on 23 Aug 2026

This is WAY better quality than yours expect for such a low price. It has a number of features that make it feel expensive, when it's actually ¼ of the price of the competing offerings.

5

GreatReviewed by Hill_jonathan2 on 12 Aug 2026

Great charger, lots of features and additional power regulator not listed in advertising. Was a little tricky to set up the app took about 20 tries to complete. Once connected hasn’t missed a beat since

5

Very good EV charger for the priceReviewed by Clarkythesparky on 11 Aug 2026

The charger feels like a high end charger compared to the price you pay, easy to install and has pen conductor monitoring and WiFi which is easy to set up

Great service, quality item, delivered next day, would definitely recommend Ecowizard

Looks good and great valueReviewed by Arob80cwf on 28 Jul 2026

It’s early days but it seems to be good, set up was easy though attaching to Wi-Fi was a little tricky, though that was probably my own systems fault.

Hi, what is the difference between this and the IT500? Other than price on your website? We need a replacement IT500 touchscreen thermostat as our old one has broken. Which do we need? We have all the other bits.
The main difference is that the IT500BM is for combination boilers and single heating zones only. Otherwise, they are very similar products and can both be smart-phone operated.
Hi is this compatible with Baxi duo tec 28 boiler
Salus thermostats are compatible with all boilers
What does SPD stand for?
Surge Protection Device
my charger will not let me unplug from the unit although it is 100% charged any ideas please
I would recommend using the below link to contact Ohme directly to see whether their engineers can advise: they give a 3-year warranty on their products so should be best placed to help Who to contact when you're experiencing charging issues - Ohme EV
Do the Zappi chargers have a variety of lengths of tethered cables
6.5m only for Zappi Hypervolt offer 5, 7.5m and 10m. Ohme offer 5 and 8.5m
Is this compatible for use with a Worcester combi boiler 2000
Salus have confirmed that their thermostats are compatible with all boilers
What make boiler does this fit????
Salus have confirmed that all their thermostats are suitable for all boilers
Can this integrate with smart EV tarriffs like the octopus go or intelligent go?
Unfortunately, the charger isn’t compatible with Octopus
Hi, ive recently purchased an EV and wondered what the timeframe currently is for installing an EV charger? Thanks
Our installers work on a lead time of 2-3 weeks from the point of completion of survey. Please request a quote on our website and we can start the process for you.
The previous owners of my house had an electric car and the initial wiring has been completed, as far as I'm aware they just removed their charging pod but the infrastructure is still there. If this is the case would the installation fee be lowered as I think it would just need connecting to the previous box located on the outside of the house.
Unfortunately, the installation fee cannot be lowered, as this is the minimum cost for a standard installation of the charger, regardless of whether previous cabling has been installed. If you are interested in going ahead, please request a quote on our website, and we can send you a link to the installation survey. Once this is complete, the Installation company can confirm whether the installation is standard, and look to book you in.
Does this charger need to be signed off by a registered installer ? Or just an electrician ?
We would best advise having any EV installed by an installer with all the relevant certifications. Please see below a link to Government registered/approved installers: Find an electric vehicle (EV) chargepoint installer - GOV.UK
I’m thinking of buying an EV7UK. I have a capable, reliable electrician to install it. How many have you sold and how reliable are they? Is there a year’s warranty on this device? Are there any known glitches that have been reported to you?
The Salus chargers come with a 5-year warranty. We haven’t received any issues with the chargers (customers may have gone directly to the manufacturer, as the warranty is with them). We have sold a lot of these chargers and received positive feedback.
Will this work with my Astra ev
We are pleased to confirm that the EV7UK is compatible with the Vauxhall Astra EV.
what fuse rating to you advise for your 7kW charger please
Please see below an excerpt from Salus website: “The recommended upstream circuit breaker (MCB/RCBO) rating for the Salus EV7UK 7kW model is 40A (240V), paired with a 32A continuous maximum load capacity.”.
New to ev is this compatible with a BYD ATTO 2 .
All charges are designed to be compatible with all EV, but if uncertain, best to check with BYD or Salus
Hi, I have been looking at the Salus EV7UK 7kW Type 2 Slimline EV Charger (Untethered) As it comes with a 5 year warranty if a fault develops what is the process for repair (is there any cost to myself within the warranty period to get it fixed) With installation does this include the EV consumer unit as well and everything else needed? Thanks
The warranty is directly with Salus and does cover repair, for any further details on this please contact Salus. As for installation, the installers have confirmed that installation does include an EV consumer unit, unless they are installing either an RCBO or MCB to the consumer unit that is already compatible with an EV Charger.
If am buying the tethered charger- then I can directly plug the charger to the car straight away ? Like i dont need to connect separate charging wire both to the charging port and car ??
Yes, a tethered charger comes with a cable that you can plug directly into the car.
I just purchased one of these. Internet and phone signals are patchy in this rural part of Wales. Will it still work as a dumb charger in the event that the local technology fails?? John Waters
Please see below excerpts taken from Salus website: Q: Can I use the EV charger without setting it up to connect to the Internet? A: It is recommended to connect the EV charger to the Internet and add it to your APP to enjoy full functionalities. The EV charger is factory defaulted to allow plug and charge directly before set up to connect to any Wi-Fi network. Without connecting to Wi-Fi network, the LED blinks YELLOW, but it is allowed for charging. Q: Can I use the EV charger when the Internet connection is broken? A: After adding the EV charger to the APP, there is a setting called "Plug and Charge". If it is DISABLED, a NFC card or initiate via APP is needed in order to start charging. Thus, if this setting is DISABLED before the Internet is broken, the EV charger cannot charge because it cannot verify the NFC card with the database in the server and cannot be triggered from APP. On the other hand, if this setting is ENABLED before the Internet is broken, the EV charger will charge directly once it is connected to the EV.

NAPIT Work Quality Guarantee – Summary

The NAPIT Work Quality Guarantee is a free, insurance-backed warranty that protects customers when using a NAPIT-registered installer for domestic electrical work, including EV charger installations.

What's Covered

Up to £25,000 in coverage to fix non-compliant work

Valid for up to 6 years from the date of installation

Still applies if the original installer is no longer trading

Key Conditions

Work must be notified to NAPIT by the installer

Only covers work included in the Building Regulations Compliance Certificate

Designed to rectify faults, not provide compensation or cover product failures

Exclusions

Normal wear and tear or maintenance issues

Product defects not caused by installation error

Work not completed under NAPIT’s registration

Why It Matters

This guarantee gives customers peace of mind that:

Their installation meets UK safety and legal standards

They’re protected even if the contractor ceases trading

There's an independent path for resolving compliance issues

Additional Information About the NAPIT Work Quality Guarantee

1. What “Non-Compliant Work” Means

Refers to work that does not meet UK Building Regulations (e.g., BS 7671 wiring regulations).

The guarantee only applies to installations done by a NAPIT-registered installer at the time the work was carried out.

 2. Applies to Dwellings (Not Commercial by Default)

The standard guarantee applies to domestic properties (homes/flats).

For business/commercial installs, confirm if extended coverage is offered—some schemes or insurers may offer alternatives.

3. Building Regulations Compliance Certificate (BRCC) Is Essential

Customers must receive this certificate to validate the guarantee.

Your installer should submit the job notification to NAPIT promptly, which triggers the BRCC.

Without the BRCC, the guarantee cannot be activated—so always confirm the certificate has been issued.

4. Customers Can Verify NAPIT Registration

Encourage transparency by inviting customers to search for your installer on:

https://search.napit.org.uk/

5. Dispute Resolution Path Exists

If a customer is unhappy with an installation and the installer is unavailable or unwilling to fix the issue, NAPIT offers a process to investigate and resolve the complaint.

If the work is found to be non-compliant, rectification work will be arranged under the guarantee.
