The Photonic Universe 8kW Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) System with 19.2kWh energy storage is a high-capacity backup power solution designed for mains-powered, off-grid, solar, and portable applications. Delivering continuous and stable AC electricity, it is ideal for household appliances, IT suites, server rooms, commercial environments, and other demanding electronic equipment where a reliable power supply is critical.

When connected to the mains, the UPS powers appliances directly while keeping the batteries charged in the background. If the grid becomes unstable, intermittent, or fails completely, the system switches instantly to battery power, ensuring uninterrupted operation. Once mains electricity is restored, it automatically returns to grid input and resumes charging, with no disruption to connected loads.

In off-grid environments, this system works seamlessly alongside generators. Its built-in dry contact port can activate or deactivate relay switches or compatible generators automatically based on battery voltage. This intelligent function ensures that the generator only runs when required, significantly reducing fuel costs, wear, and noise while maintaining a steady power supply.

This UPS also supports portable power applications. Batteries can be charged at a mains-connected site, and the system can then be moved to a remote location to deliver reliable AC power on demand - a practical solution for temporary or mobile installations.With direct solar charging capability, users can also connect a suitable solar array to the system without requiring additional controllers. This provides a cost-effective and eco-friendly way to reduce electricity bills for grid-connected sites, or to lessen generator usage in off-grid settings.

The 8kW system comes with a 19.2kWh external battery bank, offering excellent storage capacity with the flexibility to expand or replace batteries as needed. For larger applications, the system can be scaled up to 36kW of continuous output by connecting up to nine inverters in parallel (parallel kits required per inverter). This makes it a robust and future-proof solution for both residential and commercial power needs.

Package Includes: 2x UPS units, 2x parallel connection kits, 8 x 200Ah gel deep-cycle batteries, 4m tinned copper battery cables, battery linking cables, 2 x thermal over-current circuit breakers and loose ring terminals for crimping.

The duration of a 2kW Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) system with a 2.4kWh energy storage battery depends on the load it supports. If the system is running at full capacity (2kW), the battery would last approximately 1.2 hours (2.4kWh ÷ 2kW). However, if the load is less than 2kW, the duration would increase proportionally. For example, at a 1kW load, the battery could last around 2.4 hours.

  • Solar panels are shipped via our £100 pallet delivery service.
  • In some cases a third-party supplier may fulfil your order directly.

  • Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands & Channel Islands: please contact us for shipping rates.
  • Portable power to Northern Ireland: we can’t currently ship these items due to insurance issues with the courier.
  • International delivery: unfortunately we do not currently offer international shipping.

However, if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return it to us for a full refund, store credit, or an exchange; please see below for more information on our returns policy.

RETURNS

If you find you have received the wrong or damaged item(s), you need to contact us within 7 days of receipt of goods. Any time after this you are responsible for returning the goods at your own cost following the standard returns process.

All returns must be postmarked and in writing within fourteen (14) days of the purchase date. All returned items must be in a new, unopened and unused condition, with all original tags and labels attached.

We ask that all customers when returning products send the goods via a trackable courier service. Underfloor Wizard Ltd t/a ECO Wizard will not be held responsible for goods which do not arrive at our premises.

Please note, you will be responsible for all return shipping charges, unless in the instance of damaged/faulty goods received in which case we can issue you with a returns label to cover the cost of postage.

REFUNDS

After receiving your return and inspecting the condition of your item, we will process your return or exchange. Please allow at least seven (7) days from the receipt of your item to process your return or exchange. Refunds may take 1-2 billing cycles to appear on your credit card statement, depending on your credit card company. We will notify you by email when your return has been processed.

Faults on installed products: 

If a product that has been installed develops a fault, please contact us, do not uninstall the product yourself. We will arrange for an engineer or technical support from the brand to assist with diagnosing the fault. Once the fault has been confirmed we can then arrange for the necessary next steps to occur.


EXCEPTIONS

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • opened box, damaged, missing or incomplete items cannot be returned.
  • items that have been installed.
